About us
Ringwood
Renegades (formerly known as the BH 24) were a
group of friends in and around Ringwood in 1982 they were
not mods but had a passion for scooters. A club patch was
introduced in 1983 designed by Sean Robinson showing a strange
little cartoon man called Hagar sat on a scooter!
Some
members at the time were : John H, Daryl M, Tony C, Sean
R, and Andy Bellboy Tim C, Mike C, Nick B, Tim P, Aubrey,
Phil N, Jason N, Jason C, Gary D, Huggy. First Rally was
Morecambe Easter 83 with back up van.
1984/5
The club drifted towards Bournemouth and met the Moordown
mods and recruited more young blood still meeting in Ringwood
once a week, having Do’s at Ringwood FC and behind
the Crown Pub and the Club also attended Donnington Rally
in 1985. Members then: Sean R, Kev B, Jim P, Paul G, and
Gary H etc. |

With
the Scooter Scene thriving in the mid eighties the Club
had grown in the Bournemouth area meeting at the Horse and
Jockey and then in the late eighties new club members appeared
and started meeting in The Hollies this saw a different
design in Club top and a split in the Club with the Rusty
Nuts S.C being formed. Members then: Sean R, Pete S, Mark
D, Mandy D, Dave S, Gary H, John W, Jo W, Marcus P, Justin
P, Ben H, Andy and Vicky G, Nobby, Andy B etc. Taking us
into the early nineties.
Mid 90’s saw more Do’s in the
area such as Grow Your Own and Shake Your Mini run by Des,
Tony A and Mel A under the banner of Renegade Productions.
Late
90’s with the scene increasing again the
Club reformed again at The Horse and Jockey by Kev B and
Jim P and moving on to The Hollies with members who had
got rid of their scooters due to family commitments finding
the money to buy a scooter again. The Club was growing and
went on to meet in Christchurch and then back to where it
all started in Ringwood at The Railway Hotel with the Landlord
Ted owning a scooter what more could we ask for! |

The
Millenium came and went. Then we had our 21st Anniversary
at the Ringwood FC. With the Club being bigger and better
and people doing more and more I can see that the Renegades
will last for the near future or till we are all too old
to kick start or bump! those lovely scooters any more .
2007
We are now meeting at the New Lodge pub in Somerford,
Christchurch every Thursday giving us a lovely big car park
for scooters and drinking!
